The Projection of the Collective

Manifestation. There’s plenty of videos on manifestation. The general message is the same. If something happens to you, well it’s because YOU manifested it, whether favourable towards you or not.
I do believe very strongly that our thoughts do hold power. However, I’m not too sure how much power it has in the sea of thoughts that surrounds us. I think our combined prayers, meditation and focused intention has greater influence than that of an individual’s desire to bring about something. Unless backed by our own determined practical efforts, our individual thoughts do not offer much in the way of change. Our actions do.
We live on dense Earth and therefore we usually are stuck with the default laws of physics that are gifted to us. We can not fly like birds by simply wishing it so. It seems that it takes years and years for anyone to bend the rules of physics, whether a yogi, chi master or scientist. So believing that we can as an individual, manifest anything in seconds, minutes or even days, well, hmmm, not too sure of that. It would indeed be a chaotic environment if that was the case. I heard it before too that if our intentions aren’t “intentional” enough, or if we don’t marry heart and mind, then we have confused the universe and therefore nothing happens. Oh my gosh, really?
I think the universe is smarter than us and does not do our bidding simply because we wish it too, nope. I think it’s the other way around. We are petitioners of the stronger forces around us. We ask and maybe, just maybe, we receive. There are beings, states of existences and realms much higher than us and I’m pretty sure if they outrank us, our requests becomes null and void. Just think of COVID-19, a microbe that brought our global system of things to a screeching halt. Folks who were manifesting a week or two off work are probably feeling the weight of the world now.
When we personally make a request or a wish, we might get what we want or need. However, I do believe if more than one person is asking for the same thing, then it’s a louder, bigger, more attention grabbing request than just one of us whispering away in the dark. The Bible itself seems to support this, as per Matthew 18:19, Jesus was telling his disciples:
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”
This statement delivered its promise in the case of Saint Genevieve, a patron saint of Paris, who was said to have saved Paris from Attila the Hun and his hordes by leading a prayer marathon. Attila changed his mind and turned his charges south to Orleans.
This effect is not bias to any particular religion. Chatelaine published an article in 2014, about an interview with Deepak Chopra, who ironically, wanted to start a peace “pandemic” by having thousands of people meditate together in Toronto. What I found fascinating was that the article cited very interesting sources about the power of group meditation, saying that specific groups who practiced transcendental meditation for a number of days reported that there was a 72% drop in news on terrorism and a 20% drop in news about international conflict. Another group meditation in a city in England was attributed to a drop in crime, a 13 percent decrease!
So, seems like when we want to make a change, and especially on a group level, we definitely can have a great influence with our thoughts alone. Makes sense if we are all connected, doesn’t it?
I do believe that the will of the collective can often override an individual’s. I think we would have a quite a bit of competition with others to get that corvette or win that million of dollars by pure thought alone. I don’t think the universe grants our every wish or thought or that we can treat it like some mindless wish granting genie. It’s alive and has its own agenda and a much much greater purpose than our own desires. I do believe something hears us, and depending on what we ask, it might be granted, but we are more powerful together in our thoughts, prayers and meditation than alone.
Sincerely,
Gennylynne
